Delivery firm Macaron has gone up in smoke after a court ordered it to pay compensation to a man who was left stranded in the jungle for four days.

The court had earlier ordered the company to pay Rs 10 lakh to a customer who had fallen into a deep hole in the jungles of Kalimantan in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and ordered that the company pay compensation of Rs 5 lakh to his family.

According to the court order, the man had arrived at the company’s warehouse in Bengaluru, about 35km from Kalimanta in Andhra.

The company said it was unable to locate him in time and asked for the court to declare a public holiday.
